Keith D. Parsons

Keith D. Parsons, age 79 of Freeland, died Tuesday January 8, 2013 at MidMichigan Medical Center. The son of the late Earl L. and Edith P. (Buckey) Parsons was born in Midland County on October 8, 1933. He was employed with The Dow Chemical Co in Midland as a Foreman until his retirement in 1998 after 30 years of service. Keith was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Freeland. He enjoyed his old 58 Chevy, fishing, hunting, going snowmobiling and camping.

Surviving is his wife of 60 years the former Joyce Wyman of whom he married on October 18, 1952 in Midland; Son, Duane (Chris) Parsons of Freeland; daughters, Becky Parsons (Joe Messner) of Hemlock, Sandy (Randy) Freier of Golden, Colorado, Kim Parsons of Freeland, Sally (Rodney) Lovell of Freeland; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Neoma Richards of St. Louis, Sam Parsons of Edenville, Jenny Martin of Wahington, Raymond Parsons of Midland, Mervin Parsons of Hope, Barb Parsons of Coleman. In addition to his parents Keith was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

Funeral services for Mr. Parsons will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday January 11, 2013 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Pastor Robert Schmidt of Freeland Zion Lutheran Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Homer Township Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
