Keith D. Huggard, age 83, of Sanford passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant. The son of the late Carl R. and Florence E. (Ross) Huggard, was born in Midland on March 27, 1935. He married the former Lylla J. Ross in Midland on December 15, 1956, and together raised three children, Brian, Brenda, and Kelly. Keith served in the United States Army 1957-1959 and was stationed in Germany. He was employed with The Dow Chemical Company until his retirement in 1986. Keith enjoyed woodworking and traditional country music. He was an accomplished singer and guitar player and played with several different bands over the years. He enjoyed being close to home and spending time with his dog, Stanley.

Surviving Keith are his wife of 61 years, Lylla; his children, Brian Huggard of Ludington, Brenda Huggard of Sanford, Kelly (Benjamin) Dollard of Midland; grandchildren, Emily Maxwell, Rachel Huggard, Maya Huggard, Madeline Dollard; sister-in-law, Diane Huggard of Midland; four nieces, and special friend, Doug Moe. In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by his brother, Carl L. Huggard.

The family would like to thank Carol and Denise from Mid-Michigan Hospice for their care and compassion over the last several weeks, as well as the staff of Woodland Hospice.

Per Keith's wishes, a private graveside service has already taken place. Memorials may be offered to Mid-Michichigan Home Care (Hospice) 3007 N. Saginaw Rd. Midland.
