June Elizabeth (Smith) Tiffin

June Elizabeth Tiffin, age 101 of Midland, passed away on Thursday June 2, 2022 at her residence. The daughter of the late Carl V. and Gladys (LaVigne) Smith was born in Detroit on November 19, 1920. June was a 1938 graduate of Marine City High School where she was Captain of the girls' basketball team, and then was a graduate of Beauty School of Cosmetology in Highland Park. She worked for Ferndale Co-op Credit Union as a loan officer for 18 years. On June 21, 1941, June married Earl W. Tiffin in Marine City and after 38 years of marriage he passed away on May 17, 1980.

Surviving is her son, Earl W. (Sandra) Tiffin, Jr. of Midland; grandsons, Donald (Hope) Gruendler, Jr., Woodland Hills, CA, Earl W. (Hannah) Tiffin, III of Midland; great grandchildren, Alina Imbaratto, Athena Tiffin, Genesis Tiffin, Donald Gruendler, Graham Gruendler; special friend, Laura Hildebrandt of Midland; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, June was preceded in death by her 2nd husband, Albert Hebsacker; daughter and son in law, Marilla (Donald) Gruendler; grandson, Dennis Carl Tiffin; siblings, Fern Sickle, Robert Smith, Glen Smith, Betty Pauly, Neal Smith, Clifford Smith.

Funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday June 9, 2022 from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Interment will be at Christian Memorial Cemetery in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Family will receive guests at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1 until 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be directed to Residential Hospice or the Lincoln Township Fire Department.
