June Brown

Aletta "June" (Wiggins) Brown, age 88 of Midland, "Prayer Warrior" went home to be with her Jesus on Saturday evening November 21, 2015 at Medilodge of Midland. The daughter of the late Ralph A. and Gladys M. (Martin) Wiggins was born in Redford Township, Michigan on June 29, 1927 where she was raised and educated. June was a member of Pentecostal Temple in Midland and had worked at the former S.S. Kresge Dime Store.

Surviving is her husband of 69 years Leo J. Brown of whom she married in Midland on August 3, 1946. Leo said "He met his million dollar baby in the 5 & 10 store @ S.S. Kresge & got married". Also surviving are her children, James (Beverly) Brown of Sanford, John (Penny) Brown of Fontana, California, Jan (Paul) Salowitz of Coleman, Deborah (David) Nobbs, Tammy Brown all of Midland; 10 grandchildren 27 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brothers, Ralph (Lillian) Wiggins, Jr., Kenneth (Iva) Wiggins all of Midland; sisters, Alice Welborn of Coleman, Shirley Schofield of Midland, Gladys (Duane) Wetherell of North Carolina; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents June was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Joy Brown, brothers, Raymond and William Wiggins; sister, Ruth Ann Wiggins.

Funeral services for June will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday November 25, 2015 from Pentecostal Temple in Midland with Pastors Michael Parsons and Brian Michael officiating. Interment will follow in Midland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home 4210 N. Saginaw Rd Midland on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
