Juliana Destiny Abel

April 7, 1994 — March 5, 2022

Juliana Destiny Abel passed away Saturday morning, March 5, 2022 at her home in Midland, Michigan with her loving family by her side at the age of 27. She was born on April 7, 1994 in Landstuhl, Germany. Though she died young,& she left her mark on this earth inspiring everyone who knew her by having a constant smile and spreading light and love even through all the tragedies of her life long illnesses.



Juliana enjoyed loving on her furbabies, Baxter, Toulouse and Stormy. She loved to do anything creative like coloring (especially with her younger cousins), and making stickers. Spending time with family and friends was very important to her. She found great joy and pleasure in traveling and going up north to be on the water kayaking, paddleboarding and boating. Juliana was a host sister, volunteer and liaison for AFS-USA Foreign Exchange Program.



Surviving are her parents, Kenny and Kerri Abel of Midland, MI; Grandparents, Faye and Jim Stepanski of Bay City, Gary and Rita Nelson of Traverse City, Robert Abel of Little River, SC, Mary Abel of Ashburn, VA; Great-Grandmother, Mona Nelson of Traverse City; brothers, Jason and Jake Johnson of West Mifflin, PA; Exchange sisters, Mao Yoshida of Japan, Dominique Zumstein of Switzerland, Lisa Drozdowski of Germany, and Kim Theisen of Germany; many Aunts, Uncles, Great Aunts and Uncles, and cousins; and vey special friends, Ashley and Isabella Holsinger, and Rachel Schlosser of Winchester, VA.



Preceding her were Great-Grandparents Lester & Donna Bovia, Great-Grandpa A Richard Nelson, Great-Grandparents Walter & Maxine Stepanski, Uncle Jimmy Stepanski and Great Uncle Walt Field.



The family would like to thank the entire staff of MyMichigan Health in Midland, especially Dr. Alsmaan, the entire 5600 unit, special nurses throughout who know who they are and the Dialysis Unit. They'd also like to thank Davita Dialysis of Midland, especially Ron Taylor.



A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 13th at 3:00pm at Christian Celebration Center in Midland, MI. It was Juliana's request, to donate her body to the University of Michigan in hopes to learn more about her diseases in order to help others in the future.
