Joyce C. Starks-Perry

Joyce C. (Ackerman) Starks-Perry, age 75 of Midland, died Monday, December 14, 2009 at MidMichigan Medical Center. The daughter of the late Clair and LaFern (Earl) Ackerman was born June 9, 1934 in Midland where she was raised and educated; graduating from Midland High School in 1952. In April of 1952, Joyce married Floyd W. Starks who predeceased her in 1982. In 1987 she married Keith Perry who predeceased her in 1989. Joyce was a member of Eagle Ridge Church of God. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed her feline friends.

Mrs. Starks-Perry is survived by her sons, Stanley Starks and his fiance' Karen Frank of Allen, Texas and Larry and his wife Carrie Starks of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; grandchildren, Bradley Starks and Alicia Starks; and sisters, Beverly Marquiss and Dixie Miller both of Midland.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, December 18, 2009 from Eagle Ridge Church of God with Reverend Bill Greiner and Reverend James Shanks officiating. Interment will follow in Homer Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson MILLER Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
