Joyce A. Poland

Joyce A. Poland, 80 of Midland, our beloved wife, mom, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully Friday, October 26, 2018. The daughter of the late Sanford Crall and Ruth (Brall) Hayes. Joyce was born June 1, 1938 in Midland. She graduated from Midland High School and was a long time member of the First Baptist Church. Joyce was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting. She was a wonderful dancer and was a social butterfly. She looked forward to the time she spent in Zephyrhills, Florida with Nathan. Her other interests were camping, and bingo.

Surviving is her husband of 63 years, Nathan E. Poland of whom she married June 4, 1955 at the First Baptist Church; children, Karen (Bart) Harbron of Midland, Douglas (Jori) Poland of Midland, Gary (April) Poland of Ohio, Gregory (Sue) Poland of Ohio, and Marcelle (Pete) Simpson of Midland; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, brother, Ray Crall, and sister Jean Hamilton.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

Funeral services for Joyce will be conducted on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Lara Freeburg officiating. Private burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Fisherville. Family will receive friends at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home on Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 5 - 7 pm and again Thursday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service 11:00 am.
