Joyce D. Koontz

Joyce D. Koontz, age 72 of Sanford, died Monday May 27, 2013 at MidMichigan Medical Center. The daughter of the late Albert and Betty (Stoutjesdyk) Hess was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 28, 1940. On November 7, 1969 Joyce married James P. Koontz. He died in 2008. Joyce enjoyed being with her grandchildren and family.

Surviving are her daughters, Brenda Novak, Melody Preston, Heidi (Tony) Norris, Betty (Reeve) Swarthout; grandchildren, Duane, Junior, Christopher, Mariah, Kyle, Stephanie, Brandon; great grandchildren, Paeton, Carson, Mya, Mason, Brenden, Jennifer & Megan; many brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will take place 1:00 p.m. Sunday June 2, 2013 from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Personal messages of condolence may be offered to the family at www.wilson-miller.com
