Joyce L. Hall

Joyce L. Hall, age 96 of Midland, passed away Monday, May 12, 2025 at Meridian Acres Assisted Living. She was born on June 1, 1928 in Midland to the late Edgar and Helen (Dart) Crandell. She lived most of her life in the Midland area where she received her education. Joyce married James D. Hall in Midland on October 28, 1949. They shared 51 years of married life together before his death on September 26, 2001.

Surviving are her sons, James Hall (Cindy Morgan) of Eaton Rapids, MI, and Jon Hall (Lori) of Sault Ste. Marie, MI; her grandchildren, Joshua (Jamie) Hall, Kate (Bryan) Winters, Elizabeth Hall, Andrew Hall, and Megan Hall; great grandchildren, Korrey, Marriana, Mea, Ernesto, Shane, Evan, and Olivia; and her nephews and their families. In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by her brother, Gale (Beverly) Crandell and half-sisters, Grace Rogers and Marjorie Kile.

Joyce was a member of Homer United Methodist Church since 1943 where she enjoyed attending and serving in many different capacities. She had volunteered in the Scouting Program for four years as a den mother. Her favorite pastimes were reading, music, sports, camping, and being with her family.

Funeral and committal services for Mrs. Hall will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 17th, 2025 at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Pastor Mike Kelley of Homer United Methodist Church will officiate with private burial to be in Homer Twp Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 2:00 pm until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be offered to Homer United Methodist Church.
