Joyce J. Grubaugh

Joyce J. Grubaugh, age 82 of Midland, Michigan, passed away in her home from a battle with cancer on October 26, 2012. The daughter of the late Aubrey and Leila (Marshall) Palmer was born July 2, 1930 in Lansing and was raised by her family in Alma, Michigan. Joyce married Kenneth Grubaugh on June 8, 1947 in Alma. After 52 years of marriage Ken died June 29, 1999. Ken and Joyce lived in Hemlock for 40 years where they raised their seven children. Joyce had been active with the PTA, Girl Scouts and the Jaycees. Upon her husbands retirement they lived in Crystal and then moved to Midland.
Mrs. Grubaugh is survived by her son, Keith and wife Anita Grubaugh of Midland; daughters Linda Grubaugh and husband David Endicott of Plano, Texas, Karen Reigle and husband Fred Drinkard of Copenhagen, Denmark, Joanne Grubaugh of San Diego, California, Brenda and husband Rick Polum of Union Grove, Wisconsin, and Laurie and husband Ron Staten of Clare, Michigan; son-in-law Larry Loeck of Valley Center, California; 13 grandchildren; 13 step grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Joyce was predeceased by her daughter, Barbara Loeck and Joyce's companion, Leland (Jim) Anderson.
Funeral and committal services for Mrs. Grubaugh will take place at Noon on Tuesday October 30, 2012 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with the Reverend David Brown officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. and from 11:00 am until time of service on Tuesday. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Alma, MI. Memorials may be offered to the Mid Michigan Home Care, (Hospice) 3007 N. Saginaw Rd. Midland, MI 48640.
