Joyce Mae Conklin

Joyce M. Conklin, age 86 of Midland, passed away on Monday January 19, 2026, at Stratford Pines in Midland. The daughter of the late Richard and Beulah (Unger) Turrell was born in Detroit on January 10, 1940. Joyce attended the 7th Day Church of God, enjoyed playing the piano and listening to music, traveling, fishing, and anything outdoors. On August 2, 1956, in Midland, Joyce married Lloyd D. Conklin and after 48 years of marriage, he died on March 5, 2004.

Surviving are her children, Andre (Craig) Milkowski, Diane DeBenedictus, Craig (Richelle) Conklin; grandchildren, Mariah Conklin-Zhang, Kaley Heim, Kyle Dice; great grandchildren, Addison and Ethan Heim, August and Eloywn Zhang; siblings, Don (Dorthy) Turrell, Jacquine (Herman) Lewitz, Lenore Presley, Maybelle O’Dell, Kathy Harris; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by, brothers, Wayne, Richard, Rod, David, Carson Turrell, brothers-in-law, Harold Presley, James Harris.

Funeral and committal services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday January 23, 2026, at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Interment will be in Homer Township Cemetery. Family will receive guests at the funeral home on Friday from 12 noon until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the organization of choice.
