Joseph John Jaskolski, age 89 of Sanford, passed away Thursday morning July 6, 2017 at MidMichigan Medical Center. The son of the late Benjamin and Mary (Dybalski) was born on August 24, 1927 in New Boston, Michigan. He served in the United States Army during 1945-1947. He received his undergraduate degree from The University of Detroit. Joseph was a writer and later was employed with Towne and Country Lanes in Westland, Michigan. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. A lifelong pinochle master, Joe also was a devoted fan of the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Lions. Joseph was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Sanford. In 1957, Joseph married the former Barbara A. Dobozy in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wayne, Michigan. She passed away on August 4, 2016.
Surviving are his sons, Robert (Sandra) Jaskolski of Summit, New Jersey, James Jaskolski of Garden City, Michigan, Thomas Jaskolski and Richard Jaskolski both of Mendon, Michigan; daughter, Charlene (Kevin) Kea of Beaverton; grandchildren, Lauren (Geoff) Marks, Alexandra, Joseph, Taylor, Emma, Paige, Jenifer Kea, Hogan, Jade, Kayla Beilby, Ashley and Aaron Burtchett; brother James (Sheila) Jaskolski.
