It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Joseph Wesley Couturier on Sunday, August 2, at the age of 60.
Born and raised in Michigan, Joe later made Florida his home, where he spent most of his life building lasting friendships. Recently, he returned to his roots in Michigan, where he spent his final days.
He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and an adoring grandfather, and a true to the core blue collar working man his entire life. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his children and grandchildren, making memories they will cherish forever.
Joe loved the outdoors and embraced life to the fullest. Whether he was hunting in the woods, casting a fishing line, out on the boat, or enjoying a cold beer with family and friends, he found happiness in the simple moments and the people he loved most. He worked hard, loved deeply, and lived with a free spirit that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Michele; his sons, Marc (Kena) Krenzke and Jarrett Clifton; daughter, Jessica (Hunter) Johnson; his cherished grandchildren, Liam, Emma, Shae, Colton, Brooklyn, Kylee and Kash; brothers, Ron, Jerry, Ed and Mel (Lisa); sister, Jeanette (Gary); and many friends that became family who will forever miss his laughter, shenanigans, stories, and unwavering love.
He is Preceded in death by his father, Wayne; mother, Ellen; brother, Richard; his grandmother, Melissa; and his bonus dad, Mel.
Though his passing was unexpected, the memories he created and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Per Joe’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The Couturier family is being cared for by Wilson Miller Funeral Home.
