John Mills Watkins, Jr.

John Mills Watkins, Jr., age 80 of Midland, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025 in Saginaw, Michigan.  John was born October 31, 1944 in Summertown, Georgia to the late John M. Watkins, Sr. and Emma Nellie (Pickens) Watkins.  John loved hunting, fishing and woodworking and was a member of Mid-Michigan Bowman Club.

Surviving are his children Deb Bennett (Mike Ducham), Daniel Watkins, Peggy (Dan) Bovee, Jeff (Karrie) Watkins; siblings Eddie (Rena) Watkins, Mary Helen (Cliff) Braley, Shamrock Watkins, Sr.; 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; his beloved dog Duke; sisters in law Darlene Watkins, Mary Watkins.  John was preceded in death by siblings Victor, Jesse and Elizabeth and grandchildren, Joel and Kristen.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 11:00 am at Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with time for visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service.  Burial will take place immediately following and follow in procession to Lee Township Cemetery.
