John M. Tucker

John M. Tucker, age 74 of Midland, died Monday afternoon June 11, 2012 at Brittany Manor. The son of the late Marion J. and Ruby E. (Holmes) Tucker was born in Midland on December 15, 1937 where he was raised and educated. John served in the United States Navy. He was employed for many years as a Nurses Aid at MidMichigan Medical Center and then worked as a Home Health Aid until his retirement. He enjoyed doing felt painting, making sun catchers, cooking and helping others. John had a really big heart.

Surviving is his daughter, Dawn (Thomas) Morris of Gladwin; grandson, James Morris; brother, Thomas (Pat) Tucker of Kalispell, Montana; sisters, Ethel Timmons of Midland, Judith Taylor of Saginaw; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for John will take place 2:00 p.m. Thursday June 14, 2012 at Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. John's nephew Rev. John Taylor will officiate. Interment will follow in Homer Township Cemetery. Military Funeral Honors will be provided by the United States Navy and Midland Area Veterans. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the time service. In lieu of flowers memorials maybe offered to the family.
