John Leslie Snyder

John Leslie Snyder, age 71 of Sanford, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center. The son of the late John C. and Helen M. (Moe) Snyder was born September 20, 1950 in Midland. John served his country honorably with the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. John worked for R.W. Mercer starting in 2001, where he made many great friends. He will be remembered for his love of fishing, hunting, bowling, watching Michigan Football, and his many dogs he had throughout his life. Most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving is his children, Jenna (Kevin) Dexter of Midland, Jayme Snyder (Tyler Cook) of Sanford, and John Snyder of Sanford; grandchildren, Emma, Liam, Mattix, Hendrik, Hailey, and Harper; good friend, Jackie Snyder; and siblings, Joe Snyder, Jim (Vicki) Snyder, Jeff Snyder, and Cynthia McFarland; and his R.W. Mercer work crew. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother in-law, Don McFarland.

Services to celebrate John's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, December 6, 2021 at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 11 am until the time of service. Burial will be in Jerome Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you do something to keep his memory alive such as hunting, fishing, bowling, or watching Michigan Football.
