John L. Mcfarlane

John L. McFarlane, age 66 of Sanford, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center. The son of the late Clarence E. and Zola M. (Marvin) McFarlane was born January 1, 1953 in Midland where he was raised and educated. John was self-employed as a drywall installer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and camping.

John is survived by his wife of 31 years, the former Helen Beach of whom he married March 25, 1988 in Midland; daughter, Mary (Alexander) Lopez of Midland; brother, Clarence "Al" (Lori Moore) McFarlane; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Thompson.

Funeral services for John will be conducted at 5:00 pm on Monday, December 16, 2019 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Gulick of Floyd Church of God officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 3 pm until the time of service. Memorials in John's name may be offered to the Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund.
