John D. Elliott

John D. Elliott, age 80 of Saginaw, passed away on Monday December 23, 2024 at his residence. The son of the late Roger H. and Mila C. (Strudgeon) Elliott was born in Bridgeport, Township on October 28, 1944. John served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He was employed with General Motors until retiring in July of 2001 after 37 ½ years of work. John enjoyed traveling, fishing, dancing and was an avid Detroit Lions Fan and U of M Fan.

Surviving is his wife Mary Elliott of whom he married May 5, 2001; daughters, Tammy (Paul) Burch, Michelle (Jeff) Simone; step children, Greg (Beth) Killey, Edward Hall, Amanda (Scott) Clark; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his son, Michael in 1970; 4 brothers and a sister.

Per the wishes of John, burial has taken place in Midland City Cemetery and there will be no other services.
