John G. Cable

John G. Cable, age 71 of Midland, passed away on Sunday morning July 22, 2018 at his residence. The son of the late William O. and Ruth A. (Seagraves) Cable was born in Sidney Australia on March 10, 1947. John served in the United States Navy for over 27 years during the Vietnam War and Desert Storm. He was a member of the V.F.W., P.L.A.V. in Bay City and the Wenona Lodge of the Free and Accepted Mason.

Surviving is his wife of 14 years the former Marsha J. Martin of whom he married on May 4, 2004; son, Sean Barnett, Mark Cable, Nick (Shelly) Martin; daughters, Laura Menecke, Becky (Jeremy) Mallory, Jennifer (David) Ostermann, Sarah (Bradley) Stewart; many grandchildren.

A celebration of John's life will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Thursday July 26, 2018 from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Military Funeral Honors being provided by the United States Navy and the Midland Area Veterans. Family will receive guests at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Private interment of his ashes will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
