Joanne L. Piland

Joanne L. Piland, age 70 of Midland, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday December 22, 2020. The daughter of Frank L. and the late Birdie (Brandt) Cooper was born in Midland on April 3, 1950 and graduated from Bullock Creek High School in 1968. Joanne enjoyed sewing in her earlier years, going fishing, being outdoors and helping others.

Surviving is her husband of 40 years, Ron Piland of whom she married on June 13, 1980 in Chouteau, OK; son, Clinton (Kristin) Taylor of West Melbourne, FL.; daughter, Chris Charville and companion Lloyd Starks of Midland; grandchildren Jeffrey (Dannielle) Charville, Tosha (Jason) Schmunk, Josh Waterman; great grandchildren, Karson, Dominic, Riley, Madison and Chloe; her father, Frank L. Cooper; brother, Richard (Elaine) Cooper of Bay City; nieces, Sandy, Michelle and Stephanie. In addition to her mother, Joanne was preceded in death by her son, Jeff Taylor.

Due to Covid-19 restriction a private funeral service will be conducted. A recording of her service will be available Saturday afternoon on her tribute page at www.wilson-miller.com. Interment will be in Lee Township Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Wilson MILLER Funeral Home.
