Joanne M. Iott

Joanne M. (Eby) Iott, age 87 of Normal, Il., formerly of Midland, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019 in Bloomington, Il. The daughter of the late Joseph J. and Justine M. (Bruck) Eby was born Sept, 25, 1931 in Dearborn, Mi. On June 6, 1959, she married Leonard L. Iott. He preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 2010 after 51 years of marriage.

She earned an Associate's degree from Dearborn Junior College and worked as a payroll bookkeeper until her first child was born. She devoted herself to caring for her children, her husband and her grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed birdwatching and mystery stories.

She is survived by her sons, Joel (Peter) Iott of Chicago, Il., Thomas (Penny) Iott of Normal, Il., son-in-law Dennis (Cathi) Sczechowski of Royal Oak, and grandchildren Justin, Nicole, Claire, and Paige. In addition to her parents and husband, Joanne was preceded in death by her daughter, Suzanne Iott- Sczechowski, and her brother, Charles Eby.

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, July 19, 2019 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Fr. Rob Howe as celebrant. Family will receive friends at the church only, on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of mass. Private burial will take place in New Calvary Cemetery. Memorials in Joanne's name may be offered to Blessed Sacrament. Arrangements are under the care of Wilson MILLER Funeral Home.
