Joan E. (Conn) Tennant

Joan E. (Conn) Tennant, 77, of Midland died Thursday, July 2, 2009 at MidMichigan Medical Center.

The daughter of the late James L. and Helen (Hittle) Conn was born July 3, 1931 in Flint where she was raised and educated. Joan married Richard Tennant in Flint on February 17, 1951 and they moved to Midland in 1986. Joan lived for her family. She enjoyed her grandchildren immensely and was very supportive of them in their sports endeavors.

Joan is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard; daughter, Deborah (Edward) Stevenson of Midland; -3- grandchildren, Daniel (Cathy) Stevenson, Benjamin Stevenson and Andrew Stevenson; -5- great grandchildren, Daniel, Sarah, Giovanni, Cassidy and Xavier; brothers, Glenn Conn of Burton, Gene Conn of Olympia, Washington and Dale Conn of Burton; sisters, Lorraine Lince of Burton and Janet Mozader of Flint.
In addition to her parents, Joan was predeceased by her sister, Mary Tennant.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, July 6, 2009 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Becknell of Midland Missionary Church officiating. Interment will follow in Lee Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and on Monday from noon until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be offered to Meals on Wheels c/o Midland Co. Council on Aging or West Midland Community Center.
