Jerry Charles Fitch, Sr. age 87 of Prudenville, Michigan, passed away on Friday February 20, 2026, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. The son of the late George E. and Gladys E. (Draves) Fitch was born in Saginaw on September 22, 1938. Jerry had been employed at the former Saginaw Steeling Gear. He enjoyed country westerns, Wheel of Fortune, NASCAR and hunting. Jerry was a member of the Eagle and Moose. On August 8, 1983, Jerry married Virginia Rose Stewart and after 41 years of marriage she died on February 22, 2024.

Surviving are his children, Jerry (Wendy) Fitch, Jr., Fred (Anne) Fitch, Karen Fitch, Ron (Jill) Fitch, David (Cathy) Baase, Gilbert Baase, Jodi Fitch; 29 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; siblings, Barb (Levern) Kennedy, Mary Lou Reid; sister-in-law, Janice Fitch; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Jerry was preceded in death by Son, Robert Fitch, Daughter, Cynthia Baase; brothers, Robert and James Fitch; brother-in-law, Aldred Reid.

Per the wishes of Jerry, cremation has taken place. Family requested that an act of kindness of treats be made to his second home, Davita of Roscommon 10450 Roscommon Rd Roscommon, Michigan 48653.

Family wishes to thank Davita of Roscommon, staff and friends at King Rehab, neighbors, friends, including old hunting buddies Tom and Adam Koboldt.

Our Hero and superman Jerry survived 14 years on 3 days a week of dialysis.
