Jean C. Shuler

Jean C. Shuler, age 84 of Midland, was called home to heaven on Monday, September 30, 2024 at her daughters residence. She was born on October 28, 1939 to the late Louis and Helen (Jardno) Kartz in Midland where she was raised and educated. She worked as a Senior Secretary for Dow Chemical Co. in the Toxicology Lab for 34 years before her retirement. Jean was a member of the Sturgeon Creek Beagle Club, Midland Moose Lodge and Messiah Lutheran Church for many years.

Jean married Charles Shuler on January 18, 1958 and together they enjoyed beagling with the beagle club and camping. She enjoyed gardening, canning and baking. Most of all, Jean will be remembered for the love she had for her family. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mona (Phil) Tracy and Chuck Shuler; grandchildren, Tony (Rebecca) Tracy, Matthew Tracy, Sarah (Derek) Henniger and Eric (Tara) Shuler; and great grandchildren, Cristian Tracy, Scarlett Henniger, Austin Henniger, and Lila Henniger; along with many nieces and nephews.

Jean was welcomed home to heaven by her husband, Charles Shuler; grandson, Timothy Tracy; and siblings, William (Susan) Kartz, Clara Moll, Frank (Joy) Kartz, and Richard (Joyce) Kartz.

Funeral services for Jean will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 7, 2024 at the Wilson Miller Funeral Home, 4210 N. Saginaw Rd. Midland, MI 48640. Rev. Joshua Parsons of St. John's Lutheran Church will officiate with private burial to be in Homer Twp. Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of service. There will be a luncheon immediately following the service in the Miller Reception Room located at the funeral home. After the luncheon, all are welcome to attend a celebration for Jean at the Sturgeon Creek Beagle Club, 616 W. Pine River Rd. Midland, MI 48640. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to the Sturgeon Creek Beagle Club or St. John's Lutheran Church.
