Jean M. Dean

Jean M. Dean, age 67 of Midland, died Tuesday morning October 13, 2015 at her residence. The daughter of the late Roy A. and Anna Belle (Sexton) Sprague was born in Kawkawlin, Michigan on August 26, 1948. Jean had been employed with the State of Michigan for many years and then went to work for Delta College until her retirement in 2005. She enjoyed doing cake decorating, fishing, camping, genealogy but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Jean was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Surviving are her sons, David (Lisa) Thompson of Midland, Steven (Pamela) Thompson of Auburn, James Thompson of Detroit; grandchildren, Natalie, Uriah, Andriana, Julianna, Gabriella, Andrue, Brandon, Kaitlyn, Ryan; great granddaughter, Briella; brothers, Roger (Debbie) Sprague of Coleman, Donald Sprague of Sanford, Larry (Peggy) Sprague of Beaverton, Earl (Mary) Sprague of Midland; sister, Evelyn Walter of Midland. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by brothers, Vern, Roy and Ronald Sprague; sister, Linda Sprague.

Funeral services for Jean will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday October 17, 2015 from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Bishop Todd Ostergaard officiating. Interment will follow in Midland City Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
