Janice L. (Doil) Lewis

Janice Loretta Lewis (Doil), age 80, of Midland, Michigan, passed away Sunday morning, April 24, 2022, at the Toni and Trish House in Auburn.& The daughter of the late Harold and Edith (Nold) Doil was born in Bay City, Michigan, on May 18, 1941. Janice's parents gave her the middle name Loretta because Loretta Young was her dad's favorite movie star.

Janice attended Bullock Creek grade school and graduated from Midland High. Janice was always thankful of the friends she made in the Bullock Creek area. Her good friend Vera Kaufman and other Bullock Creek classmates often enjoyed going to the Music Box at Houghton Lake. Janice loved dancing and was a big fan of Country and Western music. While living in Colorado, she especially enjoyed traveling on motorcycle to visit many states out west. Janice had been employed at the former Hawkins and Pendall Printing, but also spent most of her time doing home health care for MidMichigan Home Health. Janice attended Memorial Presbyterian Church in Midland.

Surviving are her children, Randall (Sandy) Lewis of Colorado, Kelly Fisher of Colorado; grandchildren Amanda (Mark) Rise of Indiana, Alex (Ben) Frederick of Colorado; great-grandchildren, Noah, Colton, and George Rise; brothers, Cris (Darlene) Doil of Wisconsin, Tim Doil of Midland, Ross (Nyla) Doil of Missouri; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her beloved son Kerry when he was only 19 years old, and by her brother Kenneth Doil of Maine.

The family will hold a private memorial service in Colorado this summer.
