Jamie Allison Vanmeter

Jamie Allison (Bethard) VanMeter, 48, of Midland died Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at MidMichigan Medical Center.

The daughter of Wilbur and the late Mary Joann (Piorkowski) Bethard was born April 7, 1961 in AuGres where she was raised and educated, graduating from Standish High School in 1979.

Jamie thrived in life as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She enjoyed the very simple things in her life. She loved to laugh, loved to sing, loved to dance, garden, read...she just loved to Love.

She is survived by her partner of 15 years, whom she married June 3, 2006, Chris VanMeter; daughters, Samantha (Jake) Gillis, Stephenie (Lynn) Wale, Sabrina Beutel and Crystal VanMeter all of Midland; -6- grandchildren, Austin Gillis, Tyce Bethard, Madison Walsh, Lyllian Cantrell, Leah Wale and Taylor Gillis; her father, Wilbur; and sisters, Lisa (Jonas) Hunter of Florida, Pamela (Bryan) Nagy of Sterling and Julie (Mark) Lashuay of Florida.

A memorial service will be held for Jamie at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 13, 2009 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Reverend Roger Stauffer, Chaplain of MidMichigan Medical Center officiating.
Family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
Memorials may be offered to Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund.
