James E. Terrill

James E. Terrill, age 78 of Midland, passed away on Wednesday April 13, 2022 at MyMichigan Medical Center, Midland. The son of the late Charles "Buck" and Dorothy (Duel) Terrill was born in Midland on October 14, 1943, where he was raised and educated. Jim had been employed with The Dow Chemical Company for over 40 years. He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, and Mid-Michigan Motor Sports Hall of Fame. Jim enjoyed stock car racing, hunting, and spending time with his family at Houghton Lake. He was an avid Detroit Tigers and Lions fan. On November 2, 1963 in Midland, Jim married the former Julene B. Smith and after 57 years of marriage, she passed away on February 2, 2020.

Surviving are his children, Scott (Sherry) Terrill, Debbie (Joe) Sparks; grandchildren, Andrew (Kristin) Terrill, Jessica (Brett) Noack, Ross Wiltse; great grandchildren, Kyron Terrill, Ella Noack; siblings, Diane (Lawrence) Stone, Dennis "Spike" (Sally) Terrill, Mike (Jill) Terrill, Sue Terrill, Patricia West, Kathleen (Tom) Mackey; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Jim was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca, brother and sister in law, George (Lynda) Terrill.

Funeral services for Jim will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday April 19, 2022 from Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael T. Sawicki, officiating. Interment will be in Midland City Cemetery. Family will receive guests at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home on Monday from 4 until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
