James L. LaMee

James L. LaMee, age 48 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on May 6, 2026, with his parents and close friends at his side. He was born February 17, 1978, the youngest child to Dan and Pam (Taylor) LaMee. Jim’s adventurous spirit led him to many places, usually either on his motorcycle or while driving truck. When he wasn’t on the open road, Jim loved to be at the family farm working beside his grandpa or out in the woods hunting. He often attended church with his family and built many friendships at the Moose Lodge.

His memory will be cherished by his parents, Dan and Pam LaMee of Midland; sister, Michelle (Troy) Hahn of Midland; nieces, Taylor and Kara Hahn; special friend, Chirstina Daniels-Velasquez; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was welcomed home to heaven by his grandparents, Bruce and Hazel LaMee, Robert Taylor; and his uncle, David LaMee.

A service to honor Jim’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 1, 2026 at Floyd Church of God, 1015 W. Chippewa River Rd. Midland, MI 48640. Pastor Steve Gulick and Pastor Mark Beers will officiate. Jim’s family will greet guests from 10:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jim’s name may be offered to the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity of your choice. The LaMee family is being cared for by Wilson Miller Funeral Home.
