Jack N. Seward

Jack N. Seward, age 76 of Midland died Wednesday December 2, 2009 at the MidMichigan Medical Center. The son of the late Harrison and Catherine (Sweet)Seward was born on April 20, 1933 in Midland. Jack graduated from Midland High School in 1955 and then joined the U.S. Navy. Upon return from the Navy, Jack worked for the Dow Chemical Co. as a tradesman until his retirement in 1988. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and gardening.

Jack is survived by his children, Jackie Junior Seward of Midland, Mark Seward of Sanford, Candy (Richard) Talaga of Hope; and their mother, Loretta Lawson. He is also survived by grandchildren, Trich Ross, Joshua Talaga, Latia Seward, Jacob Seward; great granddaughter, Ryann Ross; and brother, George Seward of Sanford. He was predeceased by brothers Junior, Ed and Dale and his sister, Charlotte.

Funeral services for Jack will be conducted a 2:00 pm Saturday, December 5, 2009 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 and from 1:00 pm. Saturday until time of service. Memorials may be offered to the Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund of Midland.
