Irma I. Cassaday

Irma I. Cassaday, age 92 of Hope, died Friday evening April 3, 2015 at MidMichigan Medical Center, Midland. The daughter of the late Ray A. and Eunice (Sherman) Parsons was born on May 19, 1922 in Midland. Irma was an avid Detroit Tigers fan, enjoyed gardening, baking, listening to country music but most of all loved being with her family. She was a member of Hope United Methodist Church. On December 27, 1941 in Saginaw, Irma married James G. Cassaday and after 57 years of marriage he died on December 17, 1999.

Surviving are her children, Ron (Linda) Cassaday of Hope, Deanna Sczepanski and her fiancé Edd Putt of Midland, Randy (Donna) Cassaday of Gladwin, Gloria (Jim) Wontorcik of Hope, Susan (Dave) Roberson of Midland Jimmy Cassaday and his fiancé Debbie Piech of Gladwin; daughter in law, Judy Cassaday of Hope; 17 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter. In addition to her parents and husband, Irma was preceded in death by her son, Dennis; granddaughter, Denise; siblings, Forrest, Glenn, Ruth, Paul, Eva, Lloyd, Donald Parsons, Thelma Hignite and Edith Burgess; son in law, Gene Sczepanski.

Funeral and committal services for Irma will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday April 8, 2015 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home 4210 N. Saginaw Rd Midland. Pastor Patrick Poag will officiate. Family will received friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
