Helen A. Strom

Helen A. Strom, 86, of Indianapolis, IN, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 20, 2012. She was born on November 12, 1925, in Springfield, IL. Helen married the late Elwood Strom on Dec. 20, 1945, in Milwaukee, WI, where she was employed as an executive secretary for Allis Chalmers. From there she and Elwood moved to the western United States and then, in 1964, to Midland, MI. She spent 45 years in Midland before the death of Elwood and her move to Indianapolis in 2009. In Midland she enjoyed volunteer work at the Midland Medical Center and the Center for the Arts. She is survived by her daughters Barbara (Charles) Frolik and Susan (Patrick) Hanes; her son David (Elena) Strom; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
A memorial service for Mrs. Strom will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. Charles Keyworth of First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Midland City Cemetery. Family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
