Helen Irene Smith

Helen Irene Smith, age 93 of Midland, Michigan, passed away February 29, 2024, at MyMichigan Health.  Helen was born June 13, 1930 in West Branch, Michigan, to the late Harold and Mabel (Robbins) Smith.

Before retirement, Helen worked at the Dow Chemical Company without ever missing a day of work unless it was for vacation.  She was a member of Aldersgate Church where she enjoyed volunteering. Helen enjoyed traveling, having gone on 2 Alaskan cruises, playing Euchre, doing chair yoga and participating in her 2 book clubs.

Surviving is Helen's nephew, Gerald Smith; niece, Patricia (Kevin) Hough; great nephews, Jackson Makled, Michael (Emily) Hough, and Brian (Tracey) Smith; and great niece, Shelby Newell.  In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by her brother, Robert E. Smith, nephew, George H. Smith and great nephew Patrick Hough.

Visitation for Helen will be held from 4pm until 7pm, Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Wilson MILLER Funeral Home, 4210 N. Saginaw Rd., Midland, Michigan.  Funeral services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Aldersgate Church, 2206 Airfield Lane, Midland, Michigan, with visitation from 10am until time of service.  Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery in West Branch. Memorial contributions may be offered to Aldersgate Church in lieu of flowers.
