Helen G. Rochow

Helen G. Rochow, age 99 of Bay City, passed away Monday morning April 22, 2019 at the Rachel Sovereign Memorial Home. The daughter of the late Charles and Amanda (Richardson) Rochow was born in Bay City on January 1, 1920. She had been employed with the former Prestolite Company in Bay City until retiring in 1977 after 38 ½ years of service. Helen enjoyed bowling, feeding and watching birds and was an avid Detroit Tigers Fan. She was a member of the National Audubon Society, Waverly Church and the Humane Society. Helen was also an avid animal lover and loved going to the Casino.

Helen is survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by brothers, John and Clarence Rochow; sisters, Katherine Lemke, Elsie Cavanaugh, Evelyn Emmerson, Margaret Gillespie; and lifelong friend, Rosemary Trudell.

A celebration of Helen's life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday April 29, 2019 at Wagarville United Methodist Church 2478 Wagarville Rd Gladwin, Michigan with Pastor Doug Hasse officiating. Family will receive guests at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be offered to the Rachel Sovereign Memorial Home.
