H. Jane Post

H. Jane Post, 73, of Midland, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at her home.

The daughter of the late John and Agnes (Jaster) Post was born January 1, 1936 in Midland where she was raised and educated.
Jane had worked as a payroll clerk for the Dow Chemical Company, retiring in 1982 after 28 years of service. After retiring she traveled extensively with her dear friend, Helen Smith. Jane had been an active bowler for many years. She enjoyed crocheting and reading and was known as the family photographer. She was a member of and actively involoved at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. She delivered Meals on Wheels for 16 years.

Jane is survived by her brother, William (Mildred) Post of Sanford; sister in law, Dode Post of Florida; and long time friend, Helen Smith. She was the favorite aunt, who will be dearly missed by twelve nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jane was predeceased by her brother, Jack Post; and two sisters and their husbands, Kate (Robert) Maxwell and Lois (Robert) Gordon.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, October 26, 2009 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with the Reverend Mark Miller of Aldersgate United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Midland City Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
Donations in Jane's memory may be offered to Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
