Gwendolyn B. Senkbeil

Gwendolyn B. (Patrick) Senkbeil, age 89 of Midland died on her birthday at her residence Sunday July 17, 2011. The daughter of the late Clarence and Ladessa (Baldwin) Patrick was born on July 17, 1922 in Midland where she was raised and educated. On June 4, 1941 she married Herman "Dutch" Senkbeil. Gwen attended Poseyville United Methodist Church. She was an avid artist and enjoyed abstract sculpting in clay and bronze. Gwen enjoyed square dancing in her younger years and was a great cook & candy maker. Animals were a big part of her life. She loved her cats, Suzie & Gigi. Her family was always her first priority. The world will never know what she meant to all of us.

Gwen is survived by her husband, Herman "Dutch" Senkbeil; her son, Patrick W. Senkbeil of Columbus, Ohio; her daughters, Michele (Charles) Cohen of Saginaw, Brenda (Lee) Elmore of Midland, Robyn Breasbois and friend Grey Soderquist of Midland; her grandchildren, Sean Senkbeil, Brandon Senkbeil, Crystal Parker, Dawn Criswell, Ryan Elmore, April Elmore, Amber Elmore, Kiel Brewster, Erik Brewster, Brent Breasbois, Ranae Dougherty; 7 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday July 20, 2011 from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Pastor Mike Luce of Poseyville United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Midland City Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
