Guy A. Patten

Guy A. Patten, 93, of Midland died April 20 at his home surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Colleen, in 2014. Surviving are his children Alan (Betty) Patten of Waverly, Iowa, Cathy Patten of Holland, Michigan, and Susan (Blain) Harper of Charlottesville, Virginia; grandchildren Jennifer, Matthew, Paul, Michael and Rebekah, and great-grandson Bennett. Guy proudly served as a Navy crewman aboard the U.S.S. Iowa from 1952-1953. He attended Iowa State University and was thereafter employed by the Dow Chemical Company as a Chemical Engineer. Per Guy's wishes, cremation has taken place.
