Gordon P. Petrash

Gordon P. Petrash, age 71 of Midland, passed away Sunday May 16, 2021 at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor. The son of the late Philip and Helen (Solomon) Petrash was born in Uniontown Pennsylvania on March 14, 1950. Gordon graduated from Case Western university with a degree in architecture. He had been employed with Dow Chemical for over 20 years; he then went to work for Price Waterhouse Cooper for 5 years and then was a consultant for Cargill Foods. Gordon enjoyed watching baseball, working around his house, cooking, traveling, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving is his wife the former Brenda Walstad of whom he married on November 28, 2007; children, Philip Petrash of East Pointe, Mi., Rachel Greene of Midland, Ashley Petrash of Mt. Pleasant, Thaddeus Petrash of Midland; grandchildren, Gabriel and Taylor Owens, Isabelle and Alexandra Weckesser, Nathaniel Smith, Darrius Petrash, Reagan Franco, Thaddeus, Ayden, Elijah, Anastasia Petrash; brother, Gary (JoAnn) Petrash.

Funeral service for Gordon will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday May 22, 2021 from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Rev. Jung Eun Yum officiating. Interment will follow in Midland City Cemetery. Family will receive guests at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
