Gordon William Jewett

Gordon William Jewett, age 81 of Sanford, passed away Friday, September 9, 2022 with his loving family by his side at home. He was born on November 17, 1940 in Saginaw to the late Gordon A. and Lillian (Adams) Jewett. On August 2, 1958, he married the former Patricia Pringle in Saginaw. They raised their family together in Sanford where he was actively involved. Gordon owned and operated his business, J and A Window and Door for over 60 years. He has been a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sanford for 50 years where he served as an Elder. Gordon was a member of both the Buena Vista Lion's Club and the Buena Vista Jaycees. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and caring for his 66' Ford pickup truck. Most of all, Gordon will be remembered for the love he had for his family.

Surviving is his wife of 64 years, Patricia Jewett of Sanford; children, Christine (Pete) Stone of Hope, Cindy Jewett of Florida, Cheryl (Shawn) Neckel of Sanford; grandchildren, Wayne, Michael, Christopher, Tyler (Brandon), Amber (Jerry), Joshua (Nicole), Jereme, Jonathan (Savannah), Jessica, Tosha, Seth, Peggy, Cody, William; several great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; and sisters, Joanne (Ted) Schmitzer, Sharon Reynolds, Jeanne Carter.

In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his daughters, Carrie Jewett, Candace Bernhardt; and granddaughter, Billie Elisabeth Kartz.

Gordon's family would like to thank all of the staff with MyMichigan Hospice for the wonderful care and support given to them.

Funeral services for Gordon will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sanford. Rev. Christopher Vossler will officiate with cremation to follow. Visitation will be at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 – 7 pm and on Wednesday at the church from 10 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to My Michigan Hospice of the Alzheimer's Association. Personal messages may be offered to the family at www.wilson-miller.com.
