Gladys L. Marsh, age 95 of Sanford, died Sunday evening August 9, 2015 at her residence. The daughter of the late Lafa and Jessie (Westervelt) Fowler was born in Chapin, Michigan on February 28, 1920. She was a member of Edenville Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Gladys enjoyed reading and memorizing poems, gardening, scrapbooking and sewing. On June 29, 1936 in Hope, Michigan Gladys married Donald Marsh and after 43 years of marriage he died in 1979.
Surviving are her sons, Philip (Carol) Marsh of Dowagiac, Michigan, Stuart (Makrita) Marsh of Fairbank, Alaska; daughters, Wanda (Bill) Case of Decatur Tennessee, Vivian (Robert) Wondzell of Arkansas, Rose Ann (John) Drummond of Beaverton, Ellen (James) Crosby of Decatur, Tennessee; 22 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; sister, Velma Crane; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband Gladys was preceded in death by brothers, Russell, Cecil & Deward Fowler; sister, Helen Bugbee.
Funeral and committal services for Gladys will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday August 13, 2015 from Edenville Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Mr. Douglas Manning will officiate. Interment will be in New Edenville Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home 4210 N. Saginaw Rd Midland on Wednesday from 4 till 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
