Gladys M. Inman, age 88 of Auburn, passed away Monday morning October 4, 2021 at Plainview Assisted Living in Auburn. The daughter of the late Otto and Olga (Miller) Powell was born in Bay City on January 1, 1933. Gladys was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Freeland. She helped babysit many children in her earlier years, enjoyed bowling and helping her sister with her catering business, gardening and going to the casino with her husband Clarence. On April 21, 1951 in St. Anthony Catholic Church, Fisherville, Gladys married Clarence Inman and after 67 years of marriage, he passed away on October 27, 2018.
Surviving are her children, Kathleen LaBonte of Auburn, Suzanne (Robert) Rivard of Linwood, Teresa (Ted) Gorkowski of Midland, Wayne Inman of Auburn, George Inman of Midland; grandchildren, Rachel (Steve) Pfundt, Bridget (Jim) Walz, Scott (Jeanine) Huckins, Rachel (Matt) Miner, Jonathan Rivard, Marisa Rivard, Matthew Rivard, Morgan Rivard, Tyler Gorkowski, Trudi (Wayne) Kuch, Sean Inman; 18 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Gladys was preceded in death by a son in law, Daniel LaBonte; brothers, Arthur and Roy Powell; sister, Agnes Berry.
Funeral services for Gladys will be conducted Thursday evening October 7, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Family will receive guests at the funeral home on Thursday from 3 until the time of service at 7. Memorial contribution may be offered to Plainview Assisted Living.
