Gerry A. Stoecker

Gerry A. Stoecker, age 80 of Midland died Sunday, February 28, 2016 at the Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant.

The son of the late George and Mary (Rumbley) Stoecker was born on November 23, 1935 in Mason City, Iowa. On May 27, 1961 he married the former Mary Ann Stouffer in Jackson, MI and they moved to Midland in 1970. Mary Ann preceded him in death on November 2, 2015. Gerry retired from Consumers Power after thirty years of service. He was a long time member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and enjoyed golf and being outdoors. After his retirement Gerry and his wife toured the western states on his Gold Wing motorcycle.

Gerry is survived by his sons Rick (Terri) Stoecker of Midland and Larry Stoecker of San Diego, CA; daughter Vicki (Rick) Bradley of Grand Rapids; grandchildren Alex Bradley, Payton Bradley, Madison Bradley, Maxwell Stoecker; two great grandchildren Layla Bradley, Olivia Bradley; and sister Sandra (Michael) Darling of Jackson, MI.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, March 4, 2016 from Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Pastor Michael T. Sawicki officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Wilson MILLER Funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 7 pm and at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until time of service.
