George Wesley Boyes, Jr.

George W. Boyes, Jr., age 88 of Midland died Friday, August 15, 2014 at his home.
The son of the late George and Ethyle (Stallings) Boyes was born July 19, 1926 in Wray, Colorado. George served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a graduate of Colorado University, Boulder, Colorado where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. On August 27, 1949 he married Margaret Campbell in Lyons, Colorado and they moved to Midland in 1962. George worked for the Dow Corning Corporation for 25 years, retiring as a Sr. Analytical Specialist in 1989. He had been active with the Free Masons and the Boy Scouts and enjoyed fishing, photography and reading.

George is survived by his wife of nearly 65 years, Margaret; son Kimbule (Liz) Boyes of Auburn; daughters, Michelle Fitzgerald of Midland and Annice Boyes (Mark) Paun of Strongsville, Ohio; grandchildren, Aaron (Stella) Boyes, Mark Paun Jr., Erin Paun (JP) Staszel, Daniel Fitzgerald and Molly Fitzgerald; great grandchild Emory Staszel.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been arranged through the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home.
