Gail E. Johnson

Gail E. Johnson, age 79 of Midland, passed away Wednesday November 24, 2021 at MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland. The daughter of the late Thomas J. and Leola I. (House) McLaren was born in Newberry, Michigan on January 11, 1942. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, crocheting, collecting cook books and was an avid animal lover.

Surviving is her husband of 58 years, Kenneth L. Johnson of whom she married on April 6, 1963 in McMillan United Methodist Church; son, Eric (John Bennett) Johnson of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Marcia (Mike) Payne of Midland; grandchildren, Ryan (Joanna) Payne, Shawn (fiancé, Jessica Gault) Payne; brother, John T. (Louetta) McLaren and his family, Jason (Shannon) McLaren, Danielle (Jay) Jolly, Sara (John) Paul. In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her brother, David McLaren.

Per the wishes of Gail, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Wilson MILLER Funeral Home.
