G. Howard Krotzer

Howard Krotzer, age 87 of Sanford, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at his residence.

The son of the late Gerald B. and Emma (Carl) Krotzer was born January 28, 1931 in Midland where he was raised and educated. Howard married the former Eddith A. Alexander in Fort Wayne, IN on October 10, 1953. After nearly 55 years of marriage she preceded him in death on May 4, 2008. Howard had worked for the City of Midland for 36 years. He was a farmer, a woodworker, loved hunting and treasured time with his family.

He is survived by his sons, Tom (Milly) Krotzer, Rob (Rhonda) Krotzer, and James (Laurie) Krotzer all of Sanford; daughters, Nancy (Dave) Young of Midland, Sally (Greg) Whitmer, Linda (Curt) Nieman, and Jean (Art) Stark all of Sanford; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by brothers, Lawrence, Carl, Gerald, Don and Ray Krotzer; sisters, Eva Davis and June Alexander.

Funeral services for Mr. Krotzer will be conducted at 11:00 am, Monday, March 26, 2018 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Ecklebarger of Midland Missionary Church officiating. Family will receive guests at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6 pm and on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Interment will follow in Lee Township Cemetery.
