Floyd E. Yarger, Jr.

November 20, 1942 — January 10, 2010

Floyd E. Yarger, Jr. age 67 of Midland, passed away at his home on Sunday, January 10, 2010 surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer.
The son of the late Floyd Yarger, Sr. and Eva Katherine (Weidman) Yarger was born on November 20, 1942 in Coleman.
Floyd served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963. His career as a body shop manager was not just a career but a job he devoted himself to one hundred and ten percent. He helped mentor many other painters during his career. When you think of Floyd these thoughts come to mind: passionate, thoughtful, tall and loving and arrogant. These qualities combined with many others made Floyd the wonderful person that he was.

Floyd is survived by his wife, Melodie, who he married June 4, 1994; his son Charles (Lynn) Yarger of Sanford, his daughter, Kathy (John) Prentice of Midland; step children, Vena (Mel) Schreck of Sanford, Auda-Le (Bill) Vickers of Florida, Tarra DeFeder of Midland; sisters, Ruth Westmoreland, Nancy Martin, Iona Sensabaugh; brother, David Yarger; grandchildren, Brandon, Stephen, MacKayla, Emma, Michael, Peter, Jamie, Charlie, Summer and Monica.
He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, aunts, uncles and special people that were dear and close to his heart.
He is now rejoined with his deceased parents; sister, Loretta Martindale; and his first wife, Pamalla (Kiggins) Yarger Pfund.

A memorial service will be held for Mr. Yarger at 11:00, Wednesday, January 13, 2010 from Midland Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Gib Giblin officiating. Funeral arrangements are by the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home where there will be no visitation.
