Florence Barkman Merrick

Florence B. Merrick, age 69 of Sanford died Sunday, October 18, 2009. Florence was born in New York State on May 19, 1940 and later moved to Florida where she lived and worked for thirty years, moving to Midland in 1995. Florence had attended the Midland Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Florence is survived by her companion and care giver Mr. Frank W. Stockton of Sanford. She is also survived by her daughter Marlene Shaffer and step daughter Anne Marie Nicola and survived by sisters Judith Gould, Kimberly Day and brother David L. Barkman. She is also survived by many step sisters, step brothers and several grand and great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 20, 2009 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Mr. Darryl Bentley officiating. Interment will be in Sanford Cemetery.
