Florence E. Beehr, age 93 of Midland, passed away Tuesday evening June 13, 2017 at Stratford Pines of Midland. The daughter of the late Robert P. and Ann Faye (Thompson) Ward was born in Midland on September 5, 1923 where she was raised and educated graduating from Midland High School in 1942. On August 9, 1943 Florence married Howard G. Beehr and after 56 years of marriage he died on June 5, 1999. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church, Midland King's Daughters and the Order of Eastern Star. Florence had worked at many retail stores in the Midland area. She enjoyed listening to music of Nate King Cole, Glenn Miller, and was an avid dog lover.
Surviving are her sons, Richard (Phyllis) Beehr, Dwight Beehr, Thomas Beehr all of Midland; daughter in law, Marjorie Beehr; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Florence was preceded in death by her son, Howard Beehr, Jr., brother and sister in law, Robert and Helen Ward.
