Evelyn R. Wall

Evelyn R. (Buchner) Wall, age 88 of Midland, passed away on Monday October 22, 2018 at MidMichigan Medical Center, Midland. The daughter of the late Alfred and Mary (Apsey) Buchner was born on September 9, 1930 in Los Angles, California. She was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church where she served as a Trustee for many years, an avid contract bridge player, Evelyn earned the American Contract Bridge League rank of Gold Life Master. Evelyn also enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with her family. On August 18, 1951 in Harrisville, Michigan, Evelyn married Edward Wall. Evelyn and Edward enjoyed 62 years of marriage, until Edward's death on June 6, 2014.

Surviving are her sons, Steven (Penny) Wall of Swartz Creek, Patrick (Kelli) Wall of Galesburg, Christopher (Rebecca) Wall of Troy; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Pauline) Buchner of Alpena, Alfred (Sharon) Buchner of Reedsville, WI, William Buchner, Carl Buchner both of Harrisville; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by sisters, Margie Meden and Beverly Cook.

Per Evelyn's wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday October 25, 2018 at Memorial Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Wallace H. Mayton, III officiating. Interment of her ashes will be in Midland City Cemetery at a later date. Family will receive guests at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be offered to the Memorial Presbyterian Church general fund or to the church's food pantry.
