Eunice Ann (Arthur) Allen

Eunice Ann (Arthur) Allen, age 92, peacefully passed away on July 26, 2023, surrounded by her family at K&K Quality Care Assisted Living home. The daughter of the late Harry A. and Olive G. (Brall) Arthur was born in Midland on August 23, 1930, where she was raised, educated, and chose to build her life. Eunice was one of the founding members of Chapel Lane Presbyterian Church. Eunice liked to fill her days with trips to the casino (or roller skating and the bowling alley in her younger years), watching her beloved Tigers play, or knitting one of her infamous afghans. On June 7, 1952, Eunice married James L. Allen. Together they built, owned, and operated Larkin Food Center and Allen's Hardware store. Where they enjoyed serving the Larkin Township community for over 50 years.

Surviving is her husband of 71 years, James; children, Sueanne (William) Sandel, Janet Allen (David) Eklund, Mark (Suzanne) Allen; grandchildren, Tristan (Greta) Sandel, Brandin (Ksenija) Sandel, Katelyn Allen Eklund, Miquel (Scott) Keur, Daniel (Kristina) Lewis, Cody Lewis, Sarah (Derek) Fritz; great grandchildren, Sebastian, Rowan, Aidan, Gibson, Aria, Liam; great-great grandchild, Alexander; sisters, Nancy (David) Van Horn, Doloris (Bill) Boman; many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Eunice was preceded in death by brothers, Clyde, Jim, Eugene, Duane, and Gerald Arthur.&

Funeral services for Eunice will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday August 1, 2023 at Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Kelley will officiate. Interment will follow in Midland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family will receive guests at the funeral home on Monday from 4 until 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
